TL Experience/Learning

Casual staff and volunteers needed to see that their involvement in TL was also benefiting them, and that they were a valued part of the project. The performance incentives program provided:

• Additional skills training

• Computer and internet access

• Goods to assist them in their work: such as backpacks, umbrellas, flash-drives

Non-cash incentives reduced fraud whilst providing a career path for volunteers that assisted them to gain the skills they needed to secure casual employment in the project and beyond.
