TL Experience/Learning
In TL we linked the training program to ongoing regular coaching and mentoring, backed up by quarterly face-to-face national or sub-national meetings to build consistency and alignment with policies and procedures and to build staff knowledge and skills.
New material was delivered to field staff in shorter modules, rather than through the five-day trainings that had dominated the earlier phase.
Coaching was on-the-job – staff had regular assistance to identify and solve local problems, identify and build on success and increase their confidence and skills.
